KCS Students Saddle Up for Success at Interschools Equestrian Competition

KCS students showcased their impressive skills and school spirit at the recent Interschools Equestrian Competition held at Maryville Equestrian Centre in Cork. With nearly 30 school teams and numerous individual competitors, the event underscored the growing popularity of equestrian sports among students in the region.

Representing KCS with distinction, Lucy Scriven (2nd Year), Anna Lynch (5th Year), and Eva Cooney (Transition Year) delivered outstanding performances. Additionally, Mia Murphy (Transition Year) provided invaluable support as an honorary team manager, sharing her expertise in equestrian competitions.

Competing individually, Lucy Scriven excelled in a challenging field of nearly 45 riders, securing an impressive 6th place in her class while proudly wearing her KCS colours. Her hard work and determination made her achievement all the more remarkable.

Anna Lynch and Eva Cooney also performed exceptionally well, each completing clear rounds and earning strong placements in their respective events. Their dedication not only brought pride to the school but also highlighted the diverse talents within the KCS community.

The enthusiasm and accomplishments of students like Lucy, Anna, Eva, and Mia demonstrate the potential for future growth. KCS is excited to continue supporting students in pursuing their passions, both on and off the field.
