TY Students Master Life-Saving Skills in First Aid Training

At Kinsale Community School, we are committed to equipping our Transition Year students with practical, life-saving skills. This January, our TY students are participating in an invaluable First Aid Training course delivered by Ross Mannion of ER Training.

The comprehensive programme is designed to prepare students for emergency situations, teaching them essential skills such as CPR, wound management, and how to respond to medical emergencies. Under Ross Mannion’s expert guidance, students are gaining hands-on experience in carrying out critical life-saving procedures.

One of the highlights of the course is its focus on practical application, ensuring that students not only understand the theory but are confident in their ability to act swiftly and effectively in real-life scenarios. The training empowers our students to be responsible and resourceful members of their communities.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an Emergency First Aid Certificate, a credential that not only enhances their skill set but also boosts their confidence in their ability to make a difference in emergency situations.

We are proud of our TY students for embracing this opportunity to learn and grow, and we extend our gratitude to Ross Mannion and ER Training for delivering such a vital and engaging programme.
