KCS crowned Tournament Champions at VEX Robotics Regionals

Kinsale Community School's Transition Year VEX robotics teams displayed an excellent performance at the Cork IQ and V5 VEX Robotics Regionals hosted at the MTU Cork Campus on Thursday 19th January. The KCS VEX Teams were awarded Robot Skills Champions, the Design Award, the Excellence Award as well as being crowned Tournament Champions.

KCS Students make donation to Kinsale Youth Support Services

Kinsale Community School students Ethan Quarry and Evan Kelly (5th Year) presented a donation of 196 euros to Ger Rice of Kinsale Youth Support Services. Ethan and Evan, with the support of their teacher, Mr. Diarmaid O’Donovan, organised a first-year soccer tournament last year to raise the money. The funds are being donated to this very worthy local service which does excellent work in the local community.

The Count Down is on for the BTYS Competition!

Kinsale Community School wishes best of luck to all their students attending the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition which will be held this week in the RDS from the 11th-14th January.  KCS has qualified with a total of 16 projects for the exhibition, which includes a total of 30 students who will be representing the school.
